Music has been with me since I was very young. Some of my relatives were or are musicians, but perhaps most critical were my parents and siblings in their active love for music. Growing up music was all around. My parents would dance, sing (with varying results in regard to quality) and actually listen to music. For many music is but a soundtrack to whatever they are presently doing, but for them it was - and is still - something to be given ones full attention. My elder brother Markus would practice drums at home from an early age and was through the noise and dispair still supported by our parents. "Keep disturbing the peace", they would say, "music is something worthwile to meddle with".

Markus and my parents would soon ensnare me into becoming a musician myself, and the story would repeat itself twice more with my two younger brothers. To this day all four of us are still active musicians.
